Top 5 Activities to do with your friends at Calamigos

As it has been difficult to go places during this pandemic, Calamigos Ranch has definitely been one of the best places to stay with many activities to keep from boredom.

1. Hiking

By the Ferris Wheel there is a hike that leads up the mountain and strays off into multiple routes to explore. This hike is fairly easy but I would recommend sturdy hiking shoes for trekking the rocks.

2. Hot tub at night with your friends

There are two hot tubs at Calamigos Ranch that both have positive attributes to them. The first hot tub is at the hotel pool; it is very large and very hot! The second hot tub has a jet feature you can turn on near the entrance to the student center.

3. Paddleboat by the Malibu Cafe

Along the path by the Malibu Cafe is an entrance to a paddleboat area where you can ride on a two person paddle boat with your pals.

4. Dine with friends underneath a waterfall at the Malibu Cafe

Tight next to the restaurant is a building with a waterfall flowing off of it. If you live in the cabins, use your Calamigos key card to enter the door and follow the path under the waterfall to the door where you can enter and dine privately with your friends.

5. Play Volleyball at the sand court

Over by the lake there is a large grassy area with a volleyball court and other outdoor activities like soccer goals. Make sure to bring a volleyball and a team of friends when you arrive!
